The Firefly is also known as the Lightening Bug.

A sweet memory I have as a child is singing 🎵This Little Light of Mine🎵 in church. You may be familiar with the first verse:

This little light of mine,
I’m going to let it shine.
This little light of mine,
I’m going to let it shine.
This little light of mine,
I’m going to let it shine,
Ev’ry day, ev’ry day,
Ev’ry day, ev’ry day,
Gonna let my little light shine.

For me, the Firefly is God’s little reminder of Bible verse John 8:12:

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12 NLT
