You’ll need:

• ribbon, yarn, or string
• rigatoni pasta (43 pieces) 
• animal crackers (10)
• paintbrush
• glue (create your own strong, non-toxic glue using the easy recipe below)
• newspaper
• scissors
• acrylic paints

Directions:

1. Cut ribbon, yarn or string to approximately 40 inches in length.  

2. Set aside 10 pieces of pasta and 10 animal crackers.  

3. Prepare a work station by placing paint, brush, and the remaining pieces of pasta on a piece of           newspaper.        

4. Paint the pasta (33 pieces), using all the colors of the rainbow. Dry thoroughly.

5. Glue animal crackers to the unpainted pasta that was set aside. Allow to dry.

6. Place 3 colored pieces of pasta on ribbon. Then add a piece of pasta that is attached to an animal cracker. Repeat this step until all pasta and crackers have been placed on the ribbon.

7. Tie string together to hold in place.

• 1 cup flour
• 1 tsp vinegar 
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 cup water                                                                                                                                

Mix flour, sugar, and 3/4 cup water in saucepan, stirring until lumps are removed and paste is formed. Add remaining 3/4 cup water and vinegar. Place on medium heat until a thickening occurs. Cool and pour into airtight container. Keep refrigerated.
